Q. Why do I need a second decoder to watch satellite on a separate TV?

A. If you want to watch the same channel on a second TV then you don't need a second decoder. We will have to install it to the second TV for an additional charge. If you want to watch two different channels on the decoder at the same time you will need to rent a second decoder because the AFN decoder can only display/control one channel at a time.
|
Q. Where can I get a second decoder?

A. It is $13.50 for a Scientific Atlantic decoder and $18.00 for a Cisco HD or you can just outright purchase the Cisco decoder. HD TV will begin to be upgraded in 2012 and will take 2-4 years to complete for more information please visit MyAFN.net

Q. Can I use the existing cable in the wall of my home?

A. In some cases you can use the existing wall cable if it is setup for AFN but in most cases you can not because the Japanese Satellite systems that the homes are set up for run off of a different LNB voltage and MHZ.
